It begins with a general overview of the technology, then examines the mechanisms and modeling of organic photovoltaics, including exciton dissociation, charge recombination, simulating optical absorption, and the optimization of organic solar cells. The final section explores an extensive range organic photovoltaic materials and devices, including polymer-titania cells, and solar cells based on donor conjugated polymer and carbon nanotube composites, semiconducting quantum dots, liquid crystals, and polyfluorene/fullerene plastic.
