Having watched this immediately after a far more elaborately-staged performance of the same opera, which I found unappealing, I was delighted with the accessibility of the Opera Australia interpretation. The greatest advantage is to have it sung in English, and there are even subtitles if you have difficulty following the lyrics. But everything about it is great, including the singing and acting, the orchestra, and the set. It is played with great humour and provides a thoroughly enjoyable performance of Mozart's work.
