Description

A delightful counting book for beginners, One Lonely Kakapo features native New Zealand birds, reptiles and sea life to teach young New Zealanders how to count from one to ten. Imaginatively illustrated, Sandra Morris captures some of our unique animals along with delightful text. One Lonely Kakapo was first published in 1991 and won the Russell Clark Award in 1992. This new edition published by New Holland has a bright new cover sure to appeal to a whole new generation of young Kiwis - still! The new edition also has an additional quiz page for even more counting fun.

Author Biography:

Sandra gained a Graduate Diploma in Plant and Wildlife Illustration from the University of Newcastle, Australia. She has since travelled to many interesting places, such as the sub-Antarctic Islands, to fulfil her passion for field sketching.
