Shelley was a teacher's aide, an elementary school librarian, and a library specialist for thirty years. She is a Board member, and the secretary for Resiliency Village, a nonprofit tiny house village and trauma healing center in Sonora, California. Bear Dyken is a singer/songwriter, and musician. His band, Clan Dyken, is well known for their environmental activism and support of the Dine elders at Big Mountain, Arizona. Bear lives in Cedar Creek Canyon, Calaveras County, California.
