Old Mother Hubbard goes to the cupboard to get her poor hungry dog a bone, but there isn't a crumb in the kitchen! Rushing back and forth to town, she brings the dog gifts but none are edible. While she's away, the dog is having a ball in the house: riding a goat, washing the cat, dancing a jig. What can all this nonsense be leading up to?

Her other titles include Cat's Colours, which was shortlisted for the best Children's Picture Book award 1997, and Panda Big & Panda Small, and Rory the Lion. Jane lives in Totnes, Devon.
