Description

The OE: Brazil album is the result of a unique project which saw Bacardi take six of New Zealand’s most talented musicians to Sao Paulo for three weeks to record a collaborative album with some of Brazil’s finest artists. The aim was to create a fusion of New Zealand and Brazilian music and culture.

The New Zealand artists featured in the inaugural ‘Bacardi B-Live OE: Brazil’ project include Barnaby Weir (The Black Seeds, Fly My Pretties), Hollie Smith, Alda Rezende, Maaka Phat (Wai), P.Digsss, and world-renowned DJ / producer Recloose.

The Brazilian artists are Bossacucanova, Funk Como Le Gusta, Clube do Balanço, Instituto, Drumagick, Max de Castro, Apollo Move, BiD and Barbatuques.

The experience was also filmed for a feature documentary, and the album release will be celebrated with a national tour of New Zealand in December 2006. The tour will feature three of the Brazilian artists who collaborated on the project while in Brazil and all the New Zealand OE Brazil artists.

OE: Brazil’ is more than stunning new music and life long friends – it is a new relationship between two countries.
