An elderly female, who lives alone, calls the police. She needs someone to talk to. For several weeks, her calls have been about the smell of death. Beat officers have not found any problem. Unexpectedly, her delusions turn into reality. A young Hispanic boy out hiking finds a pile of dead greyhound racing dogs on top of the body of a man in the abandoned quarry on the side of A- Mountain, a few blocks from downtown Tucson. The investigation widens into Mexico and back east to Kansas. Together homicide and narcotic officers uncover plots from drug-running to terrorism, and shed light on the atrocities behind the scenes of greyhound racing. At the finish line the officers find that police officers, their canine partners, and the racing greyhounds share a common bond: loyalty. OBEDIENT TILL DEATH!
