Description

A Record of Eight Months at the Front with a Welsh Battalion, October 1915 to June 1916. Adams (1890-1916) graduated with a First Class in the Classical Tripos at Cambridge and went on to study Economics in his fourth year. It was his intention to travel to India to work as a missionary. In November 1914 he joined up as lieutenant in a Welsh regiment and was sent to the front the following October where he was soon given charge of a company. In June 1916 he was wounded and returned to England where he wrote this memoir. A month after returning to the front in January 1917 he was wounded again and died the next day in a field hospital.
