Author Biography:

Chairman of Surgery at a major level 1 trauma center in Raleigh, North Carolina. a former Naval Flight Surgeon, Dr Kalorin served the United States Marine Corps aviation community from 2001 – 2004 and, for his service, received the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. He is the recipient of numerous academic surgical teaching awards including the Silver Scalpel and he has authored over a dozen internationally published medical and surgical papers.
