The book adheres closely to the SQA Higher Still syllabus for Higher Biology, with each chapter corresponding to part of a sub-topic of the new syllabus. The examination-style multiple-choice questions and matching exercises are useful as "checking your knowledge" tests and should provide a useful glossary once complete. Simple line drawings illustrate the text and help clarify difficult concepts. Two specimen examination papers at the end of the book offer full-scale test practice. Answers to the multiple-choice questions are available to teachers on request.
