ROBERT ALBRITTON is Professor of Political Science at York University, Toronto, Canada. His recent publications include A Japanese Approach to Stages of Capitalist Development, Dialects and Deconstruction in Political Economy and he is co-editor with Itoh, Westra and Zuege of Phases on Capitalist Development. - JOHN SIMOULIDIS is a graduate student in the Department of Political Science at York University, Toronto, Canada.
