"A beautifully moving family story"
5 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

The story about a family in crisis has been beautifully written by Jodi Picoult. The book itself was amazing, moving and sad. The movie was excellent and was even more moving and sad. Brilliantly acted and portrayed and certainly worth every dollar.

"Heart-warming, touching, and confused at first!"

Movies like these always make me cry. The plot is excellent and made me think at first, but then i came to realise. I wont give too much detail but i would highly recommend this movie to everyone. Get your box of tissues ready though!

Description

Based on the bestselling book from Jodi Picoult, “My Sister’s Keeper” reveals surprising truths that challenge one’s perceptions of family love and loyalty and give new meaning to the definition of healing.

Sara (CAMERON DIAZ) and Brian Fitzgerald’s (JASON PATRIC) life with their young son and their two‐year old daughter, Kate, is forever altered when they learn that Kate has leukemia. The parents’ only hope is to conceive another child, specifically intended to save Kate’s life. For some, such genetic engineering would raise both moral and ethical questions; for the Fitzgeralds, Sara in particular, there is no choice but to do whatever it takes to keep Kate alive. And what it takes is Anna (ABIGAIL BRESLIN). Incensed upon learning that she was brought into this world for the singular purpose of prolonging the life of her ailing older sister, the young girl ultimately decides to sue her parents for the rights to her own body.
