No amount of teaching your kids how to handle audio cables and jacks is going to stop these headphones from breaking. They are cheap and comfortable, but the jacks are tiny and the cable is extra-fine and non-durable – I know, because I had to solder and shrink-wrap a new jack onto this wire (which comprises a few micro-fine strands of copper)… My repair, using an old spare jack that cost nearly as much as the headphones plus an hour of my time, was a delicate exercise that only prolonged the life of these cans by about 6 months.
