Michael Palin starting from Gibraltar travels across to Africa and starts his way around the Sahara. For gamers, and there are many of them on this site, a highlight would have to be Fez. It looks just like the cities you run around in, in Assassins Creed.
Palin again uses his masterful control of English to weave an atmosphere far deeper than the pictures along can tell. This is a really beautiful area.
Probably the only issue is that it's short. Unfortunately the BBC had decided that no-one really wanted to see things about the Sahara, so it's only 4 episodes. But the DVD does come backed with extras, lots of deleted scenes, and Palin's own video diary. This makes the DVD well worth purchasing.
