Gabriele Klein (Dr. rer. soc.) has been a full professor of sociology with a focus on human movement science, dance and performance studies at Universit�t Hamburg since 2002. Since 2022 she has also been professor of ballet and dance (Hans-van-Manen Chair) at the University of Amsterdam. She is PI of the Cluster of Excellence �Understanding Written Artefacts� at Universit�t Hamburg. From 2022 to 2023, she was a fellow at the research center �global dis: connect�. Franz Anton Cramer is a research associate in the project �Choreographies of Archiving� directed by Gabriele Klein (2020-2023), as part of the Cluster of Excellence �Understanding Written Artefacts� at Universit�t Hamburg. Prior to that, he conducted research and archival projects at Universit�t Leipzig (Dance Archives), Centre national de la danse in Paris (CND), Tanzplan Deutschland / Dance Heritage (Berlin), and Paris Lodron Universit�t Salzburg.
