Mass Effect 3 reviews

After waiting months for this game to release, when it finally arrived I was over the moon I ripped open the packaging, quickly looked through all the extra's then slammed the disk into my PS3. As I waited for the day one patch to install I continued to look through the extra's and was delighted with them, with the day one patch all installed I started to play and was blown away by how much better the graphics to the game were (though the frame rate was not stellar it was still playable). I played for hours and hours, intrigued and astounded by the story line, the characters development and as always the amazing voice acting. After 1 week I got to the end of the game and that's when things started going down hill, the ending (without giving spoilers) was absolutely terrible, I was upset, bewildered and down right angry. 98% of the game was amazing, just for that to be destroyed in the last 10 minutes.

An ending is hard to write. This game has got a lot of bad rep because of it's ending (which is reason enough to play it) I found that the easiest way to look at it was “life is never as you expect, why should games be any different”. Game play is very similar but has been remolded for this game. The multiplayer was surprisingly good, like very good. In the end I was not happy that things didn't end the way I had wanted but, I am more then happy to say I have played to the end. 8.3/10

Wow, I have been playing this game all weekend and my brain is going to explode! Been playing with my husband – he does the shooting, I do the looking and the talking, has been working out really good. The graphics are great, the gameplay fast and intense, great character development. Love the way you have so many options with other characters in conversation. Only problem is that there are a number of glitches – sometimes there are issues loading between screens or certain things won't work until you exit and go back in. Even had the enemies on slo-mo for one fight… handy but not quite right. Can't wait to finish work and get back into it!

Out of the last 12 years that I've been seriously gaming, this is the best game I've ever played. Bioware has done everything perfectly right, from gameplay to storyline. If your a fan, or just getting started, Mass Effect 3 is pure AWESOME

Being a big fan of ME1&2 I found 3 to be just as entertaining. (Despite the bad rap it seems to have gotten) Another awesome story with PLENTY of hours worth of gameplay that sucks you right in again. Lots of small improvements such as improved melee combat and also weapon upgrades, making this installment stand well out from the others. As always, awesome graphics, awesome sound effects, and an awesome storyline.

Loved the multiplayer, amount of weapons and replay value. Finding out what happens to the characters from the last games is intresting and even though the ending was a bit weak it still wrapped up an awesome trilogy.

I dont usually play online but to become more battle ready in the game plot you are ‘encouraged’ to play multiplayer. This is produced exceptionally well and as a newbie you can be on a more experienced team and just do what you can until you level up more and become more of a force, gaining confidence and expertise. Exhilarating to the point were I now prefer online to the game itself.

Awesome game, great expansive story line and character building. Multiplayer is a great change to the series too.

Only down side is some bugs for the PS3 causing freezing at the load screen and jaggered graphics every now and then.

Out of the three Mass Effect games this is the best one. It has great graphics and awesome game play.

From 1 through to 3 the game story line and charters have made this for me one of the most enjoyable games I've played in a long time granted please don't allow yourself to molded by the opinion of others to affect your decision on this game if you have played the others in the series then you have to play its conclusion. and like life we may not like the destination as to where we end up but it should be about the journey we took to get there an most importantly how it made us feel. Decide for yourself!

Will Commander Shepard save the galaxy from the reapers- The final instalment for the Mass Effect trilogy, set in 200 years in the future where humanity has found it is not alone and now an established member of a galactic community. The previous games are about stopping attempts to bring about the return of a race of sentient machines, ‘Reapers’, who destroy all sentient life every 50,000 years. However you don't need to have played the previous games to enjoy Mass Effect 3, as the story and dialogue is slightly more detailed to help add the back story of the previous games. The game itself has a smoother game play, a challenging Co-Op mulitplayer mode and a extensive array of weapons, abilities and classes to tailor yourself a Commander Shepard who works for you. The downsides would be that controls take sometime to get used to, and that if you are not so keen on heavy storyline motivated games you might find the game very constrictive. In regards to the storyline, if you import your Mass Effect Two save you see some of the old characters come back and the repercussions of your actions, and decisions of previous games play into the story too. The ending is much disputed, and all that needs to be said about it is that it is a great ending from a writers point of view with a good twist and resolution. The ending though proves the point that sometimes an ending can not all ways be happily ever after.

A great game, with heavy storyline and in-depth characters and where your decisions really effect the story and if you will indeed be able to stop the reapers.

Good game but I dont like online on it Ill giv it a 6 out of 10

So i was enjoying the M3 campaign and was so fond in finishing this game, so i played alot and then I reach what I thought was the end which happened to be a disappointment! Multiplayer is very fun and the gameplay is easy. BioWare disapointment at 10min ending :(

Could pick a better game to be honest

Mass Effect 3 is the end of the beloved Trilogy of games, I myself have played all 3 games and at the end of it, I was left feeling a void inside myself, although the ending wasn't enjoyable for some people, it had so much of an impact to make people feel something, feel sadness that the Trilogy has ended.

In Mass Effect 3, gameplay is similar to Mass Effect 2, however, the enemies are more difficult to defeat and it sometimes requires better tactics to defeat certain enemies.

If you are planning to play Mass Effect 3, I urge you to get the whole Trilogy, ME1 for PS3 is available on the PSN Store, play through all 3 games in chronological order and you'll see how this is one of those games where decisions make a difference, you can see characters develop and even develop your own Commander Sheppard.

Before playing this game take heed that in order to get the best outcomes it can be very difficult if you don't do side quests, don't play the past games or DLC, and one of the things that help the most is multiplayer, a new feature they added in the game. You should also check out some of the DLCs, specifically Extended Cut and Citadel. EC adds more to the ending whilst Citadel adds a memorable moment for those you chose to aid you in your quest to stop the Reapers, it even gives you an extra special scene for your Romance partner if you picked one.

Mass Effect 3 is an amazing final chapter in an amazing trilogy. The incredible environments are beautiful and very detailed. the voice acting is perfect and really makes you fall in love with all of the characters. the perfectly evokes the mood of the moment, whether you're fighting through Husk hoards or looking at the shuttle trying to escape the Reaper, the music really helps you feel the moment. i honestly have no negatives to say about this incredible game. 10/10

This is a great end to the trilogy, the whole galaxy at war thing is cool and it really gives it a feel of fighting for the survival of everything. The multiplayer is cool too, it has good team value.
