O'Neill is a writer, translator, actor and musician who trained at the Central School of Speech and Drama in London and appeared on the West End Stage and in a number of films. He has also written scripts for television documentaries which he also produced and narrated including the best selling series Hitler's War. Michael has also written many best selling books on rock music and sport including biographies of Queen, The Rolling Stones, David Bowie and The Beatles and history books on Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea
