Description

Women's health is increasingly recognized as a global health priority. With the expanding elderly female population, the long-term complications of ageing and oestrogen deficiency present an enormous problem in terms of morbidity, mortality and economic burden. Thus, managing postreproductive health is becoming a key issue for all health professionals, not just gynaecologists. This 5th edition is widely considered to be the international template for menopause management. Written by experts in the field, this book aims to provide a balanced view of the various treatment options, both oestrogen- and non-oestrogen-based. It provides a practical, unbiased and non-promotional resource on menopausal and postmenopausal health, and is essential reading for all gynaecologists, GPs, physicians, nurses and allied health professionals around the world.
