Description

Though the Epistle to the Romans repeatedly mentions the issue of evil and suffering (Rom 5, 8, 12, etc.) and has often been used in theological and philosophical literature on this subject, one rarely finds studies of its contribution to this issue. This study attempts to detail the contribution of Romans 1-3 to the problem of evil and suffering and its link with the righteousness of God from an exegetical and theological perspective. It concludes that Romans should be read as an encouragement for the believers to hope in a righteous God who delivers the faithful and punishes the evildoers.
