Description

Hi. I'm Nana Nancy. Today I would like to tell you a story about my granddaughter. Her name is Makayla. I like to call her Makayla Wayla. This makes her laugh. Makayla likes to do many activities. She especially likes to go snowboarding. She and her brother Bryce have been to Whistler's Mountain in British Columbia. Those mountains have a lot of snow. Really, really, deep, fluffy snow. The highest mountain in Whistler is called Blackcomb Mountain. This is part of the Rocky Mountain Range. It is 2,440 metres or 8,010 feet. The chair lift goes to 2,240 metres or 7,350 feet. It is above the clouds. Hey, readers! You can look on your tablet or iPad or computer and see pictures of the mountain and all of the activities they offer for winter sports. The highest mountain peak in Canada is Mount Logan in the Yukon, in Kluane National Park. It is 5,959 metres or 19,550 feet.
