Terrans and Sekhmet fled from their war-torn worlds and traveled through a portal to find refuge on the planet Rulari, and although the laws of science still work, more powerful forces governed Rulari: power of Magic. Cut off from their home planets, to survive both peoples needed to learn to control this new energy. A simple act of kindness dumps a young healer into a web of Magic intrigue and war. The past and future of Askela is at stake in Catrin of Ironlyn's journey of courage and kindness. When Catrin arrives at the crumbling Wyvern Tower to unite the Wild Magi Logan Silvermane with his baby son, she is unaware of the danger that awaits. Logan is there to convince an old friend to accept the new Magi Accords, which will free Askela's enslaved Magi and protect them from an invasion by the nearby kingdom of Jacite. As Catrin and Logan soon discover, a traitor is lurking in the shadows and threatens to destroy Askela and its hope for peace. With the fate of Askela in their hands, Catrin and Logan must use their courage and wits to save the kingdom before it's too late. Author Biography:

Gail Daley is a self-taught artist and writer with a background in business. An omnivorous reader, she was inspired by her son, also a writer, to finish some of the incomplete novels she had begun over the years. She is heavily involved in local art groups and fills her time reading, writing, painting in acrylics, and spending time with her husband of 40 plus years. Currently her family is owned by two cats, a mischievous young cat called Mab (after the fairy queen of air and darkness) and a mellow Gray Princess named Moonstone. In the past, the family shared their home with many dogs, cats and a Guinea Pig, all of whom have passed over the rainbow bridge. A recent major surgery on her stomach and a bout with breast cancer has slowed her down a little, but she continues to write and paint.
