Description

The French Reformer John Calvin has often been misunderstood or mischaracterized. These recent essays seek to elucidate and illuminate his contributions. A life of Calvin study is included in these volumes. Post Tenebrae ("After Darkness") introduces a new generation to some of the most important thought and practice in history. This second volume in the series contains 8 essays on John Calvin and his thought. It includes a chapter on his view of human nature, a study on his source of authority, his approach to government, a leadership manual from his work, his view of preaching, and the role of his disciples in making the faith a public force for good.
