Description

Excerpt from Louisiana Conservationist, Vol. 54: September-October, 2002 It is generally believed that large bucks use larger trees to rub on and small bucks use the small trees and shrubs. This is not necessarily true. Research has shown that size of a rub does not dictate deer size. Bucks will often spar with a tree or shrub and the resistance factor of the plant may be more important than size of the tree or shrub.
