Olly Hacker's in big trouble...again. A disgrace to his Clan, he's been hauled before the Council of Elders for defacing a poster of a smiling Lord Protector. He's on his final warning: one more misdeed and he'll be reprogrammed. It's no good his turning to his Guardian Ancestor for help. Grampy Hacker may have been one of the Founders of the Ancestor Programme which controls society, but all he does is wink and talk in riddles. Is he trying to tell Olly something? If so, what? Olly needs help from someone - and quickly, if he's to save himself. The problem is that in a world ruled by Virtual Reality and computers, it's hard to know who or what you can trust.

Author Biography

Eric Johns is the author of several books for children and young adults, including Capture by Aliens!; Freewheelers to the Rescue!; My Life As a Movie Hero; After the End of the World and Trip of a Lifetime. He has always been fascinated by the way technology creates new worlds for us and propels us into them whether or not that is where we want to go. This situation is the starting point for Long Live Olly Hacker! Eric lives in Dorset and, when not writing, he divides his time between watch-keeping in a cliff-top lookout and beachcombing with his dog. He is married with three children.
