Little Armory (LA-OP13): 1/12 M1A1 Bazooka Type – Model Kit
Countries that knew the strength of tanks in World War I and World War II looked for various countermeasures!
Among them was the anti-tank weapon put into practical use by the United States in 1942 – the 2.36-inch rocket launcher M1, commonly known as the bazooka (named after a musical instrument invented by stage performer Bob Burns). This weapon gave a single soldier the power to destroy a tank, and was such a major presence on the battlefield that the Allied commander, General Eisenhower, called it “one of the weapons that led to victory in the war.”
Tomytec adds a late model of the M1A1 bazooka to their “Little Armory” lineup! Two types of rockets are included: the pointed M6A1 and the improved cylindrical M6A3; the weapon can be built loaded or during loading. The stock can be shortened, too. A blast guard is attached to prevent blowback from rocket bullets. The surface corresponding to the mesh of the actual weapon has been omitted for the sake of optimal representation at this scale.
