Do you have an ecologist in your family – armchair or otherwise – who was inspired by David Attenbourough as a child?

If you do then they obviously need this for their next birthday.

Mind did, and he was well pleased. Kudos to me for being so thoughtful.

It was a huge discovery finding out that David is not only the greatest nature and wildlife documentary maker – but has been instrumental in many major BBC productions over the years, head of BBC2, responsible for bringing colour TV to UK audiences – and what's more he's a bloody nice guy. Fascinating insight into a life that has focused on life for fifty years!

"Fantastic overview of an inspirational broadcaster."

A celebration of Sir David Attenborough narrated by Michael Palin. Told with humour, sensitive insights and justified pride. Great personal stories added by Sir Richard Attenborough. Archive material updated with current thoughts – loved the naked buttocks in the Solomon Islands. A dedicated communicator of natural history.
