Description

Raised in elegance, sent to the best boarding schools money could buy, Liberty Bouvier finds herself a bargaining chip to keep her father out of debtor's prison. Married off to a complete stranger, her father's despicable business partner, Libby is released from her commitment by his untimely death. Cut entirely out of her murdered husband's will except for an unknown property in California, Liberty Bouvier is faced with the unknown.

Author Biography:

Born in Tacoma, Washington, I was the fifth and last child of a hearing impaired father and deaf mother. We were very poor. My father died when I was six-my mother when I was seven. My oldest sister taught me to talk, and I could also use sign language until I was about eight. I went to live with an aunt and uncle along with three sisters and a brother. When I was fourteen, my aunt died unexpectedly. I ended up living with our minister and wife and their three daughters. I graduated from a high school in California and was in the top five of my class. I chose to attend Warner Pacific College, a small Christian school, in Portland, OR where I met my husband. Philip became a career officer in the Air Force and we have lived in various places in the United States as well as Canada, Germany, and Denmark, which was a NATO assignment. We have four sons and have traveled extensively. My books are flavored with my travels. I have a BA in education and a minor in Science. I taught middle school Language Arts for several years. My books are Christian Historical Fiction with murder and mayhem! Many women do not read their Bibles but will pick up a Christian novel. My prayer is for teen girls and women to draw closer to God from reading my stories. What has been a pleasant surprise is men are enjoying the book, too! I give all the glory to God...my work is dedicated to Him. I can be contacted through e-mail at hello@maryannkerr.com or through my web site maryannkerr.com
