Mr. Hitchens justifiably dislikes the term ‘contrarian.’ Along with many others, I'm sure.
This collection of ‘letters’ (since it is written in epistolic form) comprises what seems to be his one of his better-known works, and one can see why.
It has enough literary references to keep most curious minds busy for some time, the writing is superb as always (the language in this one is more easily parsed than some of his other works).
While a short read, it does close a hole left unfilled by other works from this author.
