Description

Storytelling is an ancient form of communication that still resonates today. An engaging story told and retold shares a meaningful message that can be passed down through the generations. Take fables such as The Boy Who Cried Wolf or The Tortoise and the Hare, who hasn't learned a thing or two from these ancient tales? Legends of the Masters retools Aesop's lesser-known fables, reimagining them to meet the needs and interests of modern martial artists. Reflecting upon the wisdom of yesteryear in this new light will surely bring value for practitioners of the arts today.

Author Biography:

Kris Wilder started practicing the martial arts at the age of fifteen. Over the years he has earned black belt rankings in three styles, Goju-Ryu karate (5th dan), taekwondo (2nd dan), and judo (1st dan). A National Representative for the University of New Mexico's Institute of Traditional Martial Arts, he teaches seminars worldwide. Since 1970, Lawrence Kane has studied and taught traditional Asian martial arts, medieval European combat, and modern close-quarter weapon techniques. Working stadium security part-time over 26 years he was involved in hundreds of violent altercations, but got paid to watch football. He is recognized worldwide as a judicious use-of-force expert.
