When the nations of Ionia and Noxia went to war, the results were disastrous. Not quite as bad as the average pop album, but generally agreed upon as what scholars refer to as a “bummer”. A league was formed as an effort to curb the outright battle that has taxed both nations. Now all skirmishes are decided by champions promoted by both nations, as well as a few who just seem to like fighting for it's own sake. Now the champions have a league of their own, a League of Legends.
