I actually bought these for for my daughters first birthday, and they went down a treat, not just with her but the whole family! Really well made, solid, but not too heavy for little ones. A great product with longevity.

These are quite fun. Purchased for a kids group I run, left them out on dining table for a few nights and everyone who visited automatically picked them up and started to play. Then they found the music and proceeded to play tunes from them. Makes you feel like a kids again.

Ok, they're not perfectly tuned C octave, but pretty good for something supposed to be a kids toy. Solid metal bells with strong plastic handles and plastic clappers on wire coils strengthened by a cord inside (I only wanted the bell parts, had to cut that internal cord and chop through the plastic handle with a heat knife to separate the componants). Bells are clearly colour coded with durable enamel, but the enamel will chip if you're totally abusing them like I was. Bells also have numbered stickers (which won't last long) on the ends of the handles but if you really need to know their numbers they're also stamped into the metal of the bells near the top. Song sheet has “Mary had a little lamb”, “Old Macdonald”, “Jingle Bells”, “Twinkle Twinkle”, “Row row row your boat”, “Joy to the world”, London bridge" and “lullaby”. Coloured dots with numbers on them above words of song, no actual notes. The translucent acetate box they come in had acetate pieces inside to keep the bells in place and prevent them ringing, it'd make a great box to wrap for presents as there's no way the person'd guess what they are. I'd have loved a set like this when I was little… And I suspect lots of kids will have to steal them back from adults from time to time. Only down 1 star because they're not tone perfect. ;-)
