Description

Knowledge Dissemination for Multimedia Traffic presents a clear demonstration of the importance of developed algorithms in terms of access time, distribution, and load sharing between the control nodes for knowledge management, complete with a platform tested on decentralized control of software-defined networks. The extensive growth in Internet traffic, the emergence of new multimedia applications, and the development of new underlying applications has induced many changes in the use of information technology in everyday life. This new evolving trend requires us to rethink the foundation of the network architecture itself, which has resulted in the emergence of new concepts based on a user-centric'' view, instead of a network-centric'' view. Control mechanisms in the network transmission must not only exploit information on data control and management planes, but also consider the knowledge acquired or learned by inductive or deductive inference on the current state of the network (traffic, resources, the rendering of the application) in order to accelerate the decision-making process by the network’s control elements. This book specifically addresses the concept of a system's dissemination of knowledge across autonomic networks. The authors present the foundations and implementation methods for the management, distribution, and exploitation of the knowledge required for the proper functioning of the transmission in the network.

Author Biography:

Sami Souihi received his MSc degree from the University of Paris 6, France in 2010, and his PhD from University Paris-Est Creteil (UPEC) in 2013. His research work focuses on adaptive mechanisms in large-dynamic-scale networks. These mechanisms are based on context-enhanced knowledge. Said Hoceini received his MSc degree from University Houari Boumediene Algiers Algeria in 1997, his PHD degree from Paris-Est University (UPEC) in 2004. his general area of research is in high-speed new generation wired/wireless networking and quality of service. Currently, he is working on routing and switching optimization in dynamic traffic networks, QoS, QoE in Content Distribution Network. Abdelhamid Mellouk is a permanent Full Professor at the University of Paris-Est Créteil (UPEC), France. Head of several executive national and international positions, he has held several leadership offices in IEEE Communications Society Technical Committees and has published/coordinated more than ten books in addition to numerous keynotes and plenary talks in flagship venues.
