Dr. Alexandra Okada is a senior researcher and associate professor at the Open University UK with more than 30 years of experience in Computer Science, Science Communication, and Education. She specialises in using technology for learning, responsible research and innovation, and AI applications in education. Advocating for transformative education, she champions the CARE-KNOW-DO framework, emphasising care, understanding, and action on real-life issues. She has coordinated international research projects, advised the European Union and UNESCO, authored more than 20 books and 150 articles, and contributed to children's literature. Leading initiatives such as the CONNECT network, Green Forum, and COLEARN Living Lab, she promotes impactful learning experiences and sustainable futures.
