Description

Collection of song lyrics and poetry written by KiTtyKAt, a young poet and actress living in New York City in the 1990s and in Los Angeles at the turn of the century. Some of the poems were created while out participating in theatre work and study on location, including ia sublet at the South Street Seaport during a hot summer; inside an indian hostel in London; at midnight on a bus to Paris, in Bristol, England on a misty morning; in the streets of San Francisco, and aboard a theatre cruise ship in the rainy forests along the Amazon River, and travelling through Turkey and Greece in the Mediterranean Sea. Other material was written in Manhattan, including on Carmine Street, where KiTtYkAt lived for a season while working with legendary producers Philip and Marilyn Langner at the Theatre Guild, and running the Alternative Theatre Company with pianist Peter Rosenblatt.
