Description

Set in the fading midwest, try to hold your breath as the narrator shoves your head under the waters of the opioid-addled American underbelly, pulling you up for air only when it's necessary. Watch from a distance as the cores of human nature are unraveled, and find yourself laughing at things you pray about later, crying with no explanation. The greasy, slimy crescendo of the book collapses in on itself, putting you in a footrace with the narrator towards the finale. Tuck this book on the bottom of your bookshelf, and pray your kids never read it. If they do, they will never see America the same way again.
