Joan has tried to live straight, but entanglement with a violent crime, followed by the swift and unpleasant eviction by her lover, leave her with few choices. Stung by this cavalier treatment, and anxious the police will blame her for the incident, Joan formulates a plan. But Ken's wife went missing a year ago, and there is talk in the community. Did she run off with a lover, or was she killed? And if so, killed by whom?
