Description

The concept of Jihad has taken the centre stage in today's world specially in the aftermath of events involving 9/11. The concept, the way it is being understood and practised by the militants is posing a threat to the life and lifestyle of every one. The book takes a closer look at the concept of Jihad in Islam; separating myth from reality through authentic references from holy Quran and the life of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Based on extensive research, the book is the most authentic work on the subject so far. The conclusions are not only surprising but in most cases, totally opposite of what is popularly known as this widely talked about concept is Islam.

Brigadier (Retd.) Najeebullah Khan is a scholar of religion, faith and philosophy. Having served the Pakistan Army for almost three and half decades on key positions, he was awarded Sitara-e-Imtiaz (Military), one of the highest awards, in 1993. Challenging the popular beliefs on the basis of extensive research and authentic references is one of his hallmarks. When it comes to achieving clarity on controversial concepts, he has got just the right approach. Brigadier Khan lives in Lahore, Pakistan.
