Author Biography:

YASUKO MAKINO is the Japanese Studies Librarian at the C. V. Starr East Asian Library at Columbia University. She is the author of A Student Guide to Japanese Sources in the Humanities (1994), and Japan Through Children's Literature: An Annotated Bibliography (Greenwood, 1985). MIHOKO MIKI is head of the Acquisitions Division and Japan Librarian at the Richard C. Rudolph East Asian Library at the University of California, Los Angeles. She is the compiler of Union List of Current Japanese Serials in Six East Asian Libraries of Western North America (1988), and National Union List of Current Japanese Serials in North America (1992).
