Author Biography

Andy Phillips was born in Oldham, England. He holds a doctorate in Applied Mathematics and a BSc Joint Honours Maths/Physics. Prior to writing Jade Dragon (his first novel), he released four critically acclaimed interactive fiction games (text adventures) as freeware: Heroine's Mantle (2000), Enemies (1998), Heist: the Crime of the Century (1997), and Time: All Things come to an End (1996). For three of these, he was shortlisted as a finalist for the annual XYZZY awards. In non-fiction, the author has published several scientific articles in recognised international astrophysics journals.
