Description

She was a young wife. Her and her husband, Jesse, owned two businesses- a trendy new bar in the rising community of East Nashville, as well as a bartending service for major events around Nashville. They just welcomed their first child, a boy named Charlie, into their world. Life was was full of hope for Tracy Lynn Hamilton. Then she found lumps under her arm. This began a two year journey that would not have a happy ending that she documented so beautifully on her facebook page, "It's Positively Cancer" "Dad, I'm not sure if I'm going to beat cancer, but I promise you I will never let cancer beat me." Cancer took Tracy's body, but it never touched her heart. This is her story. It's a story that needs to be shared.

Author Biography:

Andy Smith had just retired from the music business in Nashville, TN when his oldest daughter, Tracy, developed breast cancer. It was difficult watching his daughter sucumb to cancer over a two year ordeal, but her documentation on her facebook page was inspiring. It took time after her passing in 2013 before Andy could write again, but he knew deep inside, that her story was one that needed to be told. Once he began working on her story, he realized the story was not about a young lady who died from breast cancer, but more the wonderful attitude in which she lived up to her final breath, so beautifully reflected in her on-going entries on her facebook page. Andy knew he just had to publish her blog and contribute a father's reflections as background to make the story more impactful. And so he did.
