World War I and World War II saw an expanded need for the motorcycles of the Triumph Company. At first, they were used as quick transportation for couriers. Later, WWII would see motorcycles pressed into service for Military Police, couriers, reconnaissance teams, and motorized battalions. Through it all, the British Triumph Corporation delivered reliable cycles, some examples of which could hit 100mph on level ground. Triumph cycles also made their way into popular culture through numerous depictions in movies with famous actors.
