As a teenager, her passion was to be an artiste until everything changed after a talent show when she was raped by a prominent business man. This made her to question God's love for her; 'where was He?' she asked herself. However, it wasn't because God didn't exist, she just had no personal relationship with Him. Ashley was one of those Christians who had one foot in the world and another in the church. She desired everything that the world had to offer her as a talented artiste but also desired to keep her relationship with God. This turmoil made her make many painful and wrong decisions due to her desire for quick success. She passed through fire until she asked herself, 'is this what I want, or I am just pleasing everyone except myself........!
