Author Biography:

Mourad Diouri is an e-Learning lecturer in Arabic and e-Learning developer at the University of Edinburgh. In addition to teaching Arabic as a foreign language, Mourad is specialised in the design and development of eLearning resources which support language learners and teachers within and beyond the classroom. His career and passion for teaching began at the University of East Anglia which led him to win the University's Award of Excellence in Teaching in 2005 for the "Most Innovative Course Design" and as a result of integrating educational technologies into classroom teaching. He then moved to Edinburgh to take up his current post, where his passion for language teaching combined with technology became a reality. Now specialising in TELL (Technology Enhanced Language Learning), Mourad made it a personal mission to modernise and advance the teaching of Arabic and other foreign languages. As a result, he was shortlisted for an eLearning Award in 2009:"Excellence in the Production of Learning Content"
