Big Cat for Little Wandle Fluency has been developed in collaboration with Wandle Learning Trust and Little Sutton Primary School. It consists of a range of chapter books with increasing word counts across 10 fluency levels aimed at children in Year 2 and 3. Each book builds reading confidence, stamina and speed and nurtures a love for reading. Fluency 5 books have a word count of 4320 words with an expected reading rate of 90 words per minute. Do insects know maths? They might not write sums but they do use maths! From wing patterns and clever building to measuring distance, find out how millions of insects use maths to survive.

Author Biography:

Rachael Davis is a mixed-raced Black children’s author represented by Alice Williams. She grew up in a low-income single-parent family and studied Mathematics at Oxford University before doing a masters in English Literature at Surrey University. Rachael writes inclusive and empowering books for children of all ages, both fiction and non-fiction, and is passionate about showcasing diversity, STEM and mental wellness.
