Author Biography:

Albert N. Link is Professor or Economics at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. He received the PhD in economics from Tulane University. His research is generally within the area of innovation and technology policy, entrepreneurship, and technology transfer strategies. He has published in the American Economic Review, Journal of Political Economy, Rand Journal of Economics, The Review of Economics and Statistics, and other leading journals in economics and public policy. He has been a economic advisor to a number of developed countries, including the United States, in the areas of science, technology, and innovation policy. Professor Link is also the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Technology Transfer, and he serves on the editorial boards of of a number of journals in the fields of economics and entrepreneurship. Donald S. Siegel is Professor of Entrepreneurship at A, Gary Anderson Graduate School of Management of the University of California at Riverside. He received his bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees from Columbia University. His research interests concern technological change, firm performance, university technology transfer, and corporate social responsibility. He has published in the American Economic Review, Economic Journal, Journal of Financial Economics, Journal of Law and Economics, The Review of Economics and Statistics, Academy of Management Review, Academy of Management Journal, Strategic Management Journal, and other leading journals in economics and management. He is the Editor of the Journal of Technology Transfer and an Associate Editor of the Journal of Productivity Analysis.
