Improving Reading and Literacy in Grades 1-5 provides tools to help administrators evaluate their current approaches to reading instruction; compare their practices to the most important research-based models now in use across the country. Compares the available research-based models to each other and to their own needs and requirements and select the best model to use or adapt for their own settings. This is an essential resource for all schools engaged in the complex decision-making process that aims to improve reading outcomes by using research-based and evidence-based instructional methods.
