Nerissa wants a pet -- a pet of her very own. So she brings home a succession of wild animals, one after the other, as each fails to be the perfect family pet. Her parents try to be loving and supportive of all the beasts traipsing through the house, but one by one these pets just have to go! Nerissa tries a polar bear, an anaconda, a herd of wildebeest, a vulture and a komodo dragon as pets, before being beamed into outer space to become an alien's pet herself!
