The Type 97 20-mm antitank rifle is a single purpose “hard hitting” Japanese anti-tank weapon used during the Second World War.
In addition to this the Japanese army employed use of satchel charges and pole charges, Although the charges could knock out any allied tank, the tactic was extremely close-range and the sappers were vulnerable to allied weapons.
