Description

A raw survival story that journeys through hardship and abuse to triumph and joy as one woman holds fast to the belief that she can find a better life for herself. Elaine Lynn dreamed of a better future for herself and her entire family. She wanted to get an education and escape poverty. She thought her husband shared her dream, but found herself in a cycle of domestic violence. Her husband was emotionally and physically abusive to her, leaving marks on her body and her soul. With the steadfast belief that a better situation could be attained, Elaine escaped her abusive husband and sought out her dreams. Now feeling a kinship with other women imprisoned by abusive relationships, Elaine shares her story to provide courage and comfort to her sisters in similar situations. I'm Still Here is a bright promise for the readers who feel like they may be trapped or like they have made missteps on their life journeys. This book delivers the powerful message that no matter the emotional or physical scars abuse may leave, there is indeed sunlight after the storm. Through her personal narrative, Elaine shows how even the most daunting of challenges can be conquered. I'm Still Here takes readers through the unfiltered ugliness of domestic violence and brings them to the other side where escape, survival, and prosperity are waiting for anyone who chooses hope.
