Deborah Bedford and her husband, Jack, have two children. When she isn't writing, she spends her time fly-fishing, cheering at Little League basketball games, and hiking in the Tetons. She holds a bachelor's degree in journalism and marketing from Texas A&M University. Before becoming a fulltime novelist, Bedford held positions as a journalist and copywriter for an advertising agency
